This garden was planted on Mother's Day 2008.  The owners say the garden works great.  Runoff from half the roof is directed into the garden.  If there is standing water in the morning from an overnight rain, it is gone by the time they get home from work.  Plants in this garden include:  swamp milkweed, thread leaf coreopsis, cardinal flower, New England Aster, Sweet Kate spiderwort, carex, gay feather and purple cone flower.  The garden has color through the season and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and finches.
